Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Completion of basic food handling training and obtain any local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where required
  • Completion of Safe Alcohol Service training program
  • Prior experience in a high-volume bar environment preferred
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
  • Provide excellent guest service
  • Accurate cash handling and basic math skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Ability to take and follow directions
  • Respond with a sense of urgency

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
  • Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items and make recommendations
  • Accurately record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
  • Verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
  • Ensure that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
  • Consistently use suggestive selling techniques
  • Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
  • Deliver food and beverage orders within established time frames
  • Process payment for completed guest orders
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels for the bar
  • Assist the general manager on duty with placing orders for all liquor and bar related supplies
  • Consistently wipe down and sanitize employee and guest high-contact areas
  • Properly utilize personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
  • Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
  • Monitor safety and security issues and report issues to management
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned
