Job Requirements

  • 1+ years of bartending experience in an upscale or fine-dining high volume establishment
  • Positive attitude, a sense of responsibility and ownership of the position
  • Knowledge and passion for wine, beer, and craft cocktails
  • Understanding of classic food, wine service, pairings and service ware
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
  • Team-oriented with a strong sense of punctuality and reliability
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and strong work ethic to keep up with high volume
  • Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment while being respectful, professional, and genuine attitude towards guests and colleagues
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver plates, cases of water, chairs, linen and dining room tables
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Certified for food and alcohol service as is required by state and local agencies

Job Duties

  • Maintain a high level of hospitality and professionalism with each team member and guest
  • Develop and retain a complete knowledge of all food, beverage and dietary restrictions to answer guest questions
  • Ensure all steps of service are followed
  • Offer recommendations, take orders and develop relationships with guests to deliver personal and notable experiences
  • Ensure all orders in and out of the kitchen are accurate, on time and of standard to guest expectations
  • Execute opening and closing procedures associated with the assigned station
  • Work seamlessly and communicate with sommeliers, managers, and servers
  • Assist to ensure guests have a valuable overall experience
  • Handle disputes and/or complaints with the utmost respect, professionalism and hospitality and go above and beyond to accommodate special requests
  • Attend food, wine and team training opportunities
  • Ensure proper alcohol service as is required by state and local alcohol agencies
