Job Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Complete basic food handling training and obtain any local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where required
  • Complete Safe Alcohol Service training program
  • Have prior experience in a high-volume bar environment preferred
  • Have availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance
  • Possess an energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
  • Provide excellent guest service
  • Demonstrate accurate cash handling and basic math skills
  • Have interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and regularly in English
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Ability to take and follow direction
  • Respond with a sense of urgency

Job Qualifications

  • Basic food handling training and any local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where required

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all ages, genders, and personalities
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Greets guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
  • Possesses full knowledge of bar and menu items and makes recommendations
  • Accurately records food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
  • Verifies identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
  • Ensures that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
  • Consistently uses suggestive selling techniques
  • Collaborates with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
  • Delivers food and beverage orders within established time frames
  • Processes payment for completed guest orders
  • Maintains appropriate stock levels for the bar
  • Assists the general manager on duty with placing orders for all liquor and bar related supplies
  • Consistently wipes down and sanitizes employee and guest high-contact areas
  • Properly utilizes personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
  • Adapts to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
  • Monitors safety and security issues and reports issues to management
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned
