Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to transport up to 30 pounds continuously during the shift
  • Ability to stand and walk constantly
  • Ability to frequently twist, bend, stoop, reach, talk, hear, see and smile
  • Ability to make change and operate cash register
  • Ability to comply with company policies and safety procedures
  • Neat, clean and well-groomed appearance in accordance with team member handbook
  • Availability to work flexible hours including shifts during a 24/7 operation

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
  • Basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and handle transactions
  • Basic English writing and communication skills
  • Manual dexterity for preparing garnishes and mixing drinks
  • Ability to understand product labeling and apply safety measures
  • Ability to remember and promote menu items
  • Ability to operate beverage equipment like coffee maker
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Promote and document orders for drinks
  • Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
  • Maintain proper and adequate bar setup daily including requisitioning and stocking supplies
  • Prepare and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily
  • Receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record transactions and balance all money
  • Lock up and store all beverages, food and equipment, deposit cash drops and secure the bank
  • Answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders correctly and courteously
  • Input orders into the point of sale system and create checks for guests
  • Perform general cleaning tasks using hotel cleaning products
  • Follow company policies, safety and security procedures
  • Report unsafe conditions, accidents or property damage
  • Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • Assist other beverage personnel when needed
  • Perform related duties as requested by supervisor or manager
