Job Description

The 92 Force Support Squadron, Alder House, located at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington, is seeking a dedicated and skilled bartender to join its team on a Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) basis. The Force Support Squadron operates as part of the U.S. Air Force’s Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) activities, providing vital support services to active-duty members, their families, and other eligible patrons. Job Requirements

Complete a background investigation with favorable results
complete a favorable pre-employment physical including lifting requirements
possess a Food Handlers Certificate
meet state and legal age requirements for sale of alcoholic beverages
ability to work variable schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
U.S. citizenship or relevant residency requirements
registration for Selective Service if applicable
ability to provide REAL ID or authorized identity documents
direct deposit enrollment
satisfactory E-Verify employment verification
meet qualification and eligibility requirements
ability to undergo a probationary period if required

Job Qualifications

Knowledge of a wide variety of beverages and ability to combine ingredients such as liquors, soda water, sugar, bitters, and fruit to mix exotic drinks
ability to follow cash handling procedures
ability to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and resolve issues or seek assistance
experience mixing and serving drinks in a fast-paced environment
good customer service and communication skills
ability to work variable schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

Operate a full service bar
mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages following established recipes
deliver drinks to bar waiters or serve directly to patrons
handle payments and member account charges
wash glasses and bar equipment
prepare garnishes for mixed drinks
help stock service bar or portable bar for catered functions
maintain proper operation of the bar, receipts, and inventory accountability
accept money, operate cash register, and make change
prepare documentation for cash funds accountability as required
