Job Description

The 92 Force Support Squadron, located at Alder House on Fairchild Air Force Base in Washington, is seeking a dedicated and skilled bartender to join their team in a Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) position. Job Requirements

  • Experience mixing and serving beverages including alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks
  • Ability to follow cash handling procedures
  • Ability to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and take appropriate action
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods
  • Capability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Proof of eligibility if applying under preference categories
  • Open to all applicants, including veterans and military spouses
  • Education does not substitute for experience

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of a wide variety of beverages and drink mixing techniques
  • Ability to follow cash handling procedures accurately
  • Experience recognizing and managing intoxicated or unruly patrons
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain inventory accountability
  • Ability to work flexible hours and shifts
  • Physical capability to stand for long periods and lift moderate to heavy objects

Job Duties

  • Mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages from a full service bar
  • Follow cash handling procedures
  • Recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and resolve problems or seek assistance
  • Maintain proper operation of the bar including receipts and inventory accountability
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the bar area
  • Provide excellent customer service to all patrons
  • Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines related to beverage service
