Job Requirements

  • Pass appropriate security clearance as per company policy
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as standing, lifting (up to 30 pounds), bending, stretching, and pushing/pulling (up to 60 pounds)
  • Ability to stand for eight hours and maintain a professional image
  • Ability to see, hear, speak and read English
  • Display professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules including weekends, holidays and 24/7 availability
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with guests and associates
  • Must be able to perform major life activities including learning and concentrating

Job Qualifications

  • One year experience in food and beverage position
  • Experience with chain food and retail outlet preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent of GED
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Knowledge of age requirements and ability to verify those who order alcoholic beverages
  • Familiarity with menu items, preparation methods and beverage choices
  • Knowledge of various types of alcoholic beverages and cocktail preparation
  • Understanding of standards of operation required by brand
  • Ability to assist guests with area shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions
  • Knowledge of daily hotel operations, events and promotional procedures
  • Understanding of the entire property including staff, services, and rates
  • Friendly professional attitude
  • Computer literate with property management system experience
  • Ability to sell, suggest and serve quality food and beverage items

Job Duties

  • Prepare and consistently maintain working area and supplies in a guest ready atmosphere
  • Process guest charges and gratuities in accordance to standards, policies and procedures
  • Maintain safety and security practices, have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures
  • Ensure guests are provided with the highest quality product and service
  • Maintain certification from a brand approved responsible vendor training program
  • Maintain liquor inventory regularly
  • Other duties as assigned, that the associate is capable of performing
