Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a beverage service role preferred
  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • Knowledge of liquor laws and regulations
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Basic math and English skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
  • Basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and make change
  • Basic English language writing skills
  • Manual dexterity in hands for garnishing and mixing
  • Basic English language knowledge for communication
  • Ability to comprehend and apply written product instructions
  • Ability to remember and promote menu items
  • Ability to operate beverage equipment

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Promote and document orders for drinks
  • Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes
  • Maintain proper and adequate bar set-up daily
  • Requisition and stock all beer, wine, spirits, and supplies
  • Cut and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes
  • Receive cash from guests and make change
  • Verify validity of charges and record transactions
  • Lock up and store beverages, food and equipment items
  • Answer bar phone and take room service orders
  • Input orders into register and create checks
  • Perform general cleaning to adhere to health standards
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Follow safety and security procedures
  • Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • Utilize protective equipment
  • Report unsafe conditions and accidents
  • Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • Perform related duties as requested by supervisor
  • Assist other beverage personnel when needed
