Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a beverage service role preferred
- Hold a current Food Handler Card
- Knowledge of liquor laws and regulations
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Basic math and English skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
- Hold a current Food Handler Card
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
- Basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and make change
- Basic English language writing skills
- Manual dexterity in hands for garnishing and mixing
- Basic English language knowledge for communication
- Ability to comprehend and apply written product instructions
- Ability to remember and promote menu items
- Ability to operate beverage equipment
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- Promote and document orders for drinks
- Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes
- Maintain proper and adequate bar set-up daily
- Requisition and stock all beer, wine, spirits, and supplies
- Cut and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes
- Receive cash from guests and make change
- Verify validity of charges and record transactions
- Lock up and store beverages, food and equipment items
- Answer bar phone and take room service orders
- Input orders into register and create checks
- Perform general cleaning to adhere to health standards
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Follow safety and security procedures
- Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures
- Utilize protective equipment
- Report unsafe conditions and accidents
- Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- Perform related duties as requested by supervisor
- Assist other beverage personnel when needed
