Job Requirements

  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • knowledge of all state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
  • basic math skills
  • basic English language proficiency
  • sufficient manual dexterity
  • ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • ability to follow safety and security procedures
  • ability to work variable shifts as hotel operates 24/7

Job Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages
  • knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
  • hold a current Food Handler Card
  • basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and handle money
  • basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers
  • manual dexterity to handle garnishes, glassware and bottles
  • ability to understand and communicate in English
  • ability to remember and promote menu items
  • ability to operate beverage equipment

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner and promote orders for drinks
  • mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
  • maintain proper and adequate bar set-up daily including stocking supplies
  • cut and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and perishables daily to ensure quality
  • receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record transactions and balance money
  • lock up and store all beverages, food and equipment and secure cash deposits
  • answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders courteously
  • input orders into register and create checks to maintain beverage accountability
  • perform general cleaning tasks using hotel cleaning products
  • adhere to company policies, safety and security procedures
  • follow fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • utilize protective equipment
  • report unsafe conditions and accidents to supervisor
  • maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • assist other beverage personnel as needed
  • perform any related duties requested by supervisor or manager
