Job Requirements
- Hold a current Food Handler Card
- knowledge of all state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
- basic math skills
- basic English language proficiency
- sufficient manual dexterity
- ability to stand and walk for long periods
- ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- ability to follow safety and security procedures
- ability to work variable shifts as hotel operates 24/7
Job Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages
- knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
- hold a current Food Handler Card
- basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and handle money
- basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers
- manual dexterity to handle garnishes, glassware and bottles
- ability to understand and communicate in English
- ability to remember and promote menu items
- ability to operate beverage equipment
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner and promote orders for drinks
- mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
- maintain proper and adequate bar set-up daily including stocking supplies
- cut and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and perishables daily to ensure quality
- receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record transactions and balance money
- lock up and store all beverages, food and equipment and secure cash deposits
- answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders courteously
- input orders into register and create checks to maintain beverage accountability
- perform general cleaning tasks using hotel cleaning products
- adhere to company policies, safety and security procedures
- follow fire prevention and emergency procedures
- utilize protective equipment
- report unsafe conditions and accidents to supervisor
- maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- assist other beverage personnel as needed
- perform any related duties requested by supervisor or manager
