Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • hold a current Food Handler Card
  • comply with all state, federal, and corporate liquor laws
  • basic math skills
  • manual dexterity
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • able to lift up to 30 pounds
  • effective communication skills
  • able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • knowledge of state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages
  • basic mathematical skills for cash register operation and making change
  • basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers
  • manual dexterity to prepare garnishes and handle glassware
  • basic English language skills for customer interaction
  • ability to comprehend and apply product labeling instructions
  • ability to remember and promote menu items
  • ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee makers

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • promote and document orders for drinks
  • mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
  • maintain proper and adequate bar setup daily including requisitioning and stocking supplies
  • prepare, cut, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes and perishables
  • receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, and record transactions
  • lock up and store beverages, food, and equipment and secure bank deposits
  • answer bar phone promptly and courteously take room service orders
  • input orders into register and maintain accountability
  • perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards
  • adhere to company policies and safety procedures
  • know and follow fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • utilize protective equipment
  • report unsafe conditions and accidents
  • maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • perform related duties as requested by supervisor
  • assist other beverage personnel as needed
