Ramen-san is an energetic and vibrant neighborhood noodle den and bar located in the bustling neighborhoods of Chicago's River North, Fulton Market, and Streeterville. Drawing inspiration from traditional ramen shops in Japan, Ramen-san offers guests a unique dining experience featuring a menu with a half-dozen varieties of ramen, complemented by a selection of blast-chilled beers and rare Japanese whiskies. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 21 years old
Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
Must complete alcohol awareness training
Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
Good communication skills
Team player attitude

Job Qualifications

Previous bartending experience preferred
Strong multitasking and communication skills
Friendly and accommodating demeanor
Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
Knowledge of beverage preparation and bar equipment operation
Ability to maintain composure in a busy, fast-paced environment
Basic math skills for handling cash and transactions

Job Duties

Prepare and serve beverages to guests according to recipes
Stock/restock appropriate areas of the bar with alcohol, glassware, ice and supplies
Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
Effectively service a full bar top, cocktail station, and dining room orders
Safely and effectively transport food or beverages to a table of three in a single trip
Ability to safely tolerate hands being exposed to liquids frequently, including water, cleaning solutions, alcohol, various juices and other liquids
Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment, including knives and blenders
