Job Requirements
- Ability to transport up to 30 lbs
- lift 30 pounds maximum
- constant standing and walking
- frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling
- knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations related to serving alcohol
- ability to work varied shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
- ability to follow safety and security rules and procedures
- maintain a neat and professional appearance
Job Qualifications
- Hold a current Food Handler Card
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
- basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and handle money
- basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers
- manual dexterity to handle garnishes and operate equipment
- knowledge of English to understand and communicate with customers
- ability to apply written product labeling instructions
- ability to remember and promote menu items
- ability to operate beverage equipment
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- promote and document orders for drinks
- mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes
- maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily
- requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce
- maintain stock, cut and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes
- receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record charges, and balance all moneys
- lock up and store beverages, food and equipment, secure cash drops and bank
- answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders
- input orders into register and create checks
- perform general cleaning tasks
- adhere to company policies and procedures
- follow safety and security procedures
- know fire prevention and emergency procedures
- utilize protective equipment
- report unsafe conditions and accidents
- maintain neat, clean, well-groomed appearance
- perform related duties as requested
- assist other beverage personnel when needed
