Job Requirements

  • Ability to transport up to 30 lbs
  • lift 30 pounds maximum
  • constant standing and walking
  • frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling
  • knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations related to serving alcohol
  • ability to work varied shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
  • ability to follow safety and security rules and procedures
  • maintain a neat and professional appearance

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
  • basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and handle money
  • basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers
  • manual dexterity to handle garnishes and operate equipment
  • knowledge of English to understand and communicate with customers
  • ability to apply written product labeling instructions
  • ability to remember and promote menu items
  • ability to operate beverage equipment

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • promote and document orders for drinks
  • mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes
  • maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily
  • requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce
  • maintain stock, cut and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes
  • receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record charges, and balance all moneys
  • lock up and store beverages, food and equipment, secure cash drops and bank
  • answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders
  • input orders into register and create checks
  • perform general cleaning tasks
  • adhere to company policies and procedures
  • follow safety and security procedures
  • know fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • utilize protective equipment
  • report unsafe conditions and accidents
  • maintain neat, clean, well-groomed appearance
  • perform related duties as requested
  • assist other beverage personnel when needed
