Job Requirements

Ability to transport up to 30 lbs
lift 30 pounds maximum
constant standing and walking
frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling
knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations related to serving alcohol
ability to work varied shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
ability to follow safety and security rules and procedures
maintain a neat and professional appearance

Job Qualifications

Hold a current Food Handler Card
basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and handle money
basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers
manual dexterity to handle garnishes and operate equipment
knowledge of English to understand and communicate with customers
ability to apply written product labeling instructions
ability to remember and promote menu items
ability to operate beverage equipment

Job Duties

Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
promote and document orders for drinks
mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes
maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily
requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce
maintain stock, cut and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes
receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record charges, and balance all moneys
lock up and store beverages, food and equipment, secure cash drops and bank
answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders
input orders into register and create checks
perform general cleaning tasks
adhere to company policies and procedures
follow safety and security procedures
know fire prevention and emergency procedures
utilize protective equipment
report unsafe conditions and accidents
maintain neat, clean, well-groomed appearance
perform related duties as requested
assist other beverage personnel when needed
