Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
  • basic food handler certification
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
  • basic mathematical and English skills
  • manual dexterity and ability to operate beverage equipment
  • ability to comprehend and apply safety procedures
  • physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand and walk continuously
  • neat and well-groomed appearance

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
  • basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and handle money
  • basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers
  • manual dexterity for garnishing and drink preparation
  • basic knowledge of English for communication
  • ability to apply written product instructions
  • ability to recall and promote menu items
  • ability to operate beverage equipment

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • promote and document orders for drinks
  • mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes
  • maintain proper and adequate bar set-up daily
  • requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, and condiments
  • maintain stock, cut and store fresh garnishes, juices and other perishables
  • receive cash, make change, verify charges and record transactions
  • lock up and store beverages, food and equipment
  • deposit cash drops and secure bank
  • answer bar phone promptly and correctly take room service orders
  • input orders into point-of-sale register creating checks
  • perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards
  • adhere to company policies and safety procedures
  • know fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • utilize protective equipment
  • report unsafe conditions and accidents
  • maintain neat and clean appearance
  • perform related duties as requested by supervisor
  • assist other beverage personnel when needed
