Job Requirements
- Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
- basic food handler certification
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
- basic mathematical and English skills
- manual dexterity and ability to operate beverage equipment
- ability to comprehend and apply safety procedures
- physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand and walk continuously
- neat and well-groomed appearance
Job Qualifications
- Hold a current Food Handler Card
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
- basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and handle money
- basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers
- manual dexterity for garnishing and drink preparation
- basic knowledge of English for communication
- ability to apply written product instructions
- ability to recall and promote menu items
- ability to operate beverage equipment
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- promote and document orders for drinks
- mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes
- maintain proper and adequate bar set-up daily
- requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, and condiments
- maintain stock, cut and store fresh garnishes, juices and other perishables
- receive cash, make change, verify charges and record transactions
- lock up and store beverages, food and equipment
- deposit cash drops and secure bank
- answer bar phone promptly and correctly take room service orders
- input orders into point-of-sale register creating checks
- perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards
- adhere to company policies and safety procedures
- know fire prevention and emergency procedures
- utilize protective equipment
- report unsafe conditions and accidents
- maintain neat and clean appearance
- perform related duties as requested by supervisor
- assist other beverage personnel when needed
