Job Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Complete basic food handling training and obtain any required certification or food handler permit
- Complete Safe Alcohol Service training program
- Have prior experience in a high-volume bar environment preferred
- Be available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance
- Exhibit an energetic and friendly attitude
- Provide excellent guest service
- Demonstrate accurate cash handling and basic math skills
- Possess strong interpersonal communication skills
- Be able to effectively communicate in English
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Follow directions carefully
- Respond promptly and with urgency
Job Qualifications
- Bartenders need to be at least 21 years of age
- Completes basic food handling training and obtains any local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where required
- Team members who work with alcohol are required to complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program
- Prior experience in a high-volume bar environment preferred
- Availability to work flexible hours which include evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Requires regular and consistent attendance
- Has an energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
- Provides excellent guest service
- Accurate cash handling and basic math skills
- Interpersonal skills include the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all ages, genders, and personalities
- Must be able to effectively and regularly converse in and comprehend English
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently
- Ability to take and follow direction
- Responds with a sense of urgency
Job Duties
- Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
- Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items and make recommendations
- Accurately record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
- Verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
- Ensure that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
- Consistently use suggestive selling techniques
- Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure food orders are accurate
- Deliver food and beverage orders within established time frames
- Process payment for completed guest orders
- Maintain appropriate stock levels for the bar
- Assist the General Manager on duty with placing orders for all liquor and bar related supplies
- Consistently wipe down and sanitize employee and guest high-contact areas
- Properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment while completing position specific tasks
- Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
- Monitor safety and security issues and report issues to management
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned
