Job Requirements

Friendly and engaging demeanor
21 plus years old
Reliable transportation required
High school degree or GED preferred
Ability to wipe down tables, pick up debris, and maintain cleanliness
Ability to transport plates, glasses, and baskets frequently
Ability to stand and move quickly for extended periods
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Good balance, ability to reach, bend, stoop, kneel
Frequent hand immersion in water
Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively

Job Qualifications

Prior bar service experience
ServeSafe Alcohol Certification is a plus
Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required
Bi-lingual experience is a plus
Ability to build relationships
Ability to be a team player
Ability to follow manager instructions and guidance
Ability to communicate and behave professionally at all times

Job Duties

Serves food and drinks to guests in a courteous and timely manner
Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and fruit juice to prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Applebee's recipes
Interacts verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat environment
Greets guests, answers questions, makes suggestions regarding food and drinks
Completes assigned opening and closing side work
Slices fruit and vegetable garnishes for drinks
Presents guest checks to bar patrons and handles cash or electronic transactions
Processes employee and manager food orders
Relays food orders to kitchen via point-of-sale system timely and accurately
Manages alcohol service in compliance with state and federal laws, and company policies
Participates in clearing and resetting the bar
May serve guests in a Carside To-Go capacity occasionally
Maintains a clean and organized bar work area
Explains and demonstrates usage of tabletop electronic devices to guests
Uses suggestive selling techniques to drive sales and enhance customer experience
Participates in local store marketing to increase bar traffic
Removes trash and garbage from bar service area
