Job Requirements

  • minimum age to serve alcohol
  • one year experience in foodservice or hospitality industry preferred
  • good knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine
  • superior professional appearance and manner
  • ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • ability to obtain relevant state and local certifications such as food handlers or alcohol training
  • character to work in a fast-paced team environment

  • experience at a luxury hospitality property preferred
  • must be of minimum age to serve alcohol

  • ability to obtain certifications such as food handlers certificate and alcohol training as applicable

Job Duties

  • assist guests in beverage and drink preparation, service of the bar area and restaurant in an efficient and timely manner
  • relate with guests about needs and satisfaction with beverages and drinks, ensuring consistent high-quality service
  • be knowledgeable about drink offerings on the menu as well as standard drinks to assist guest in choosing based on preferences
  • contribute to improving food and beverage sales revenues by being knowledgeable about drinks, cocktails, spirits, specials, and prices
  • accurately take and place orders and input them into the Micros system ensuring correct timing and billing
  • prepare guest checks accurately and collect payment or signature as required
  • operate, maintain, and clean all bar equipment and fittings properly
  • ensure the bar is well-stocked at all times
  • use safe food handling procedures and maintain a safe working environment
