Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • completes basic food handling training and obtains local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where required
  • completes Safe Alcohol Service training program
  • prior experience in a high-volume bar environment preferred
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • requires regular and consistent attendance
  • has an energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
  • provides excellent guest service
  • accurate cash handling and basic math skills
  • strong interpersonal communication skills including verbal and written
  • able to work independently and in a team
  • able to take and follow directions
  • responds with a sense of urgency

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
  • possess full knowledge of bar and menu items and make recommendations
  • accurately record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
  • verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
  • ensure that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
  • consistently use suggestive selling techniques
  • collaborate with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
  • deliver food and beverage orders within established time frames
  • process payment for completed guest orders
  • maintain appropriate stock levels for the bar
  • assist the General Manager on duty with placing orders for all liquor and bar related supplies
  • consistently wipe down and sanitize employee and guest high-contact areas
  • properly utilize personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
  • adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
  • monitor safety and security issues and report issues to management
  • perform other work-related duties as assigned
