Job Requirements

Must be 21 years or older
prior bar service experience required
reliable transportation required
high school diploma or GED preferred
ability to read, write, and perform basic math
ability to communicate clearly and professionally
ability to follow manager instructions
ability to work in a fast-paced environment
ability to stand for extended periods
ability to lift up to 50 pounds
must comply with all state and federal alcohol service laws

Job Qualifications

Friendly and engaging demeanor
21+ years old
prior bar service experience
ServeSafe Alcohol Certification a plus
reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills
bi-lingual experience a plus
reliable transportation
high school degree or GED preferred
ability to build relationships

ability to follow manager instructions and guidance
ability to communicate and behave professionally at all times

Job Duties

Serves food and drinks to guests in a courteous and timely manner
mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and fruit juice to prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Applebee's recipes
interacts verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
greets guests, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and drinks
completes assigned opening and closing side work
slices fruit and vegetable garnishes for drinks
presents guest checks to bar patrons and processes payments accurately
processes employee and manager food orders
relays food orders to kitchen via the point-of-sale system in a timely and accurate manner
manages service of alcohol according to all state and federal laws and company policies
participates in clearing and resetting of the bar
occasionally serves guests in Carside To-Go
maintains a clean and organized work environment
explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
drives sales with suggestive selling techniques
participates in local store marketing to increase bar traffic
removes trash and garbage from bar area to dumpster
