Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • work days, nights, and/or weekends as required
  • work in environments with both hot and cold temperatures such as freezers and around cooking equipment
  • work in noisy, fast paced environment with distracting conditions
  • read and write handwritten notes
  • lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • move about facility and stand for long periods of time
  • walk or stand 100% of shift
  • reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep and wipe frequently
  • dressed in proper dress code requirements, looking neat, clean and professional at all times

Job Qualifications

  • restaurant and/or bar experience preferred, but not required
  • must be skilled in effectively communicating with guests to generate enthusiasm about the Dave & Buster's experience
  • must be able to read and communicate in English
  • must demonstrate ability to operate Micros
  • ability to follow bar recipes accurately
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • ability to interact positively with guests and team members
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment
  • must be friendly and professional in appearance and behavior

Job Duties

  • deliver an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and games in an ideal environment for celebrating all out fun
  • keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
  • create a warm, fun atmosphere for guests and team members
  • adhere to company's sanitation procedures
  • maintain responsibility for personal bank and ensure all financial transactions are accurate
  • follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated guests
  • assess guest demeanor and identify when behavior should be called to the attention of a manager
  • follow all bar recipes to deliver a consistent product, control costs, and maximize guest satisfaction
  • keep station clean, set up and take down station tables appropriately
  • greet newly seated guests in a friendly and timely manner
  • accurately take guests' food and drink orders
  • maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items and answer questions regarding food and drink items and their preparation
  • enter orders into Micros quickly and in proper sequence, using appropriate modifications and charges
  • complete station side work at the beginning and end of their shift
  • operate Micros, make changes, accurately conduct credit card transactions, and account for all monies at the end of each shift
  • ensure food is properly garnished and deliver trays to designated bar areas and other sections as needed
  • work quickly and efficiently adhering to "full hands in, full hands out" philosophy
  • participate in all incentives and contests, driving sales and promoting the brand
  • complete bar inventories and daily requisition sheets as requested
  • complete opening/closing duties promptly
  • assist in party setup and breakdown
  • assist other team members as needed or as business dictates
  • buss and reset tables as needed
  • ensure ongoing guest satisfaction by checking back after delivery of food, maintaining drink levels, removing clutter, prebussing as necessary, and responding to guest needs timely
  • maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company team members to foster a cooperative working climate and high morale, productivity and efficiency
  • listen to hear guests' orders and needs and communicate verbally and via Micros system
  • be friendly and able to smile frequently
