Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in beverage or food service preferred
- valid Food Handler Card
- knowledge of liquor regulations
- ability to stand and walk for long periods
- ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- manual dexterity for beverage preparation
- basic math and English skills
- customer service orientation
- availability to work varied shifts including nights and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
- current Food Handler Card
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
- basic mathematical skills for cash handling
- basic English writing skills
- ability to use knives and other manual dexterity tasks
- basic English language communication skills
- ability to follow written instructions
- ability to remember and promote menu items
- ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee maker
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- promote and document orders for drinks
- mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and portion control
- maintain proper and adequate bar setup daily including requisitioning and stocking supplies
- manage cash transactions including receiving cash, making change, and balancing monies
- lock up and store beverages and equipment securely
- answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders
- input orders into register and create guest checks
- perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards
- follow all company policies and procedures
- adhere to safety and security procedures
- report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervisor
- maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- perform related duties as requested by supervisor
- assist other beverage personnel when needed
