Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in beverage or food service preferred
  • valid Food Handler Card
  • knowledge of liquor regulations
  • ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • manual dexterity for beverage preparation
  • basic math and English skills
  • customer service orientation
  • availability to work varied shifts including nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
  • current Food Handler Card
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
  • basic mathematical skills for cash handling
  • basic English writing skills
  • ability to use knives and other manual dexterity tasks
  • basic English language communication skills
  • ability to follow written instructions
  • ability to remember and promote menu items
  • ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee maker

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • promote and document orders for drinks
  • mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and portion control
  • maintain proper and adequate bar setup daily including requisitioning and stocking supplies
  • manage cash transactions including receiving cash, making change, and balancing monies
  • lock up and store beverages and equipment securely
  • answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders
  • input orders into register and create guest checks
  • perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards
  • follow all company policies and procedures
  • adhere to safety and security procedures
  • report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervisor
  • maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • perform related duties as requested by supervisor
  • assist other beverage personnel when needed
