Job Requirements

  • Passion for the people, place and culture of our community
  • love of restaurants and guest service
  • Minimum of two years experience as a bartender in either a free-standing or hotel restaurant or bar
  • Tips alcohol service certification and safestaff certificate of completion or ability to obtain such within 30 days of hire
  • Must meet local age requirements to serve alcohol
  • Available to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally
  • Ability to continuously stand or walk for majority of shift
  • Ability to negotiate wet tile floors and steps
  • Fine motor coordination to pour beverages, decorate cocktails and fold napkins
  • Ability to roll or carry tables and chairs when needed
  • Ability to carry items over shoulder occasionally
  • Use hand and elbow movements for polishing glassware, silver, setting up tables, shaking, pouring and mixing drinks
  • Excellent sight and balance to navigate floor surfaces
  • Ability to handle lighted candles and hot fluids such as coffee and tea
  • Ability to lift, balance and carry up to 25 lbs to transport beverage goods and equipment
  • Ability to lift, balance and carry with assistance up to 100 lbs to transport beverage inventory and equipment
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers and kitchens

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years experience as a bartender in a free-standing or hotel restaurant or bar
  • TiPS alcohol service certification or SafeStaff certificate of completion or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally

Job Duties

  • Uphold and model the companys principles of people, place and character by being proud of who you are, where you come from and who we serve
  • Participate in daily line ups and quarterly all staff meetings to develop ideas and objectives with the service team and provide constructive feedback
  • Assist in all aspects of the food and beverage guests experience from greeting, ensuring supplies are stocked, executing requests timely while checking satisfaction
  • Work in an organized and clean manner respecting guests, peers, equipment and workspace
  • Use steps of service to provide professional service exceeding guest expectations and serve alcohol safely, responsibly and legally using recipes and jiggers for consistent cocktail preparation
  • Maintain working knowledge of menus, ingredients and availability while accurately handling monetary transactions
  • Share extensive beverage knowledge with guests, enhancing experiences through add-ons and by demonstrating culinary terms
  • Monitor physical facilities and report any issues to food and beverage leadership
  • Communicate effectively with food and beverage and culinary teams to ensure timely guest food service
  • Assist in other food and beverage areas as needed including banquets, bar, café, in-room dining, pool and restaurants
