Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three years of bartending experience
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Must obtain necessary license or permit from applicable regulatory agency
  • Serve-safe certified (Food Handlers)
  • Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission License (TABC)
  • Ability to stand for long periods (up to 5 hours)
  • Capacity to lift up to or over 20lbs occasionally
  • Ability to use proper lifting techniques
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good memory
  • Honesty and integrity

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes
  • Experience with Food & Beverage point-of-sale systems preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to apply common understanding to follow detailed but uncomplicated instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to handle money and operate a cash register quickly and efficiently
  • Outgoing personality and positive attitude
  • Strong knowledge of bar operations, service procedures and function
  • Ability to listen well, communicate effectively and follow instructions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to interact positively with customers, employees and management personnel

Job Duties

  • Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for patrons
  • Mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, garnish, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks
  • Serve wine, draft and bottled beer in accordance with company policy and procedures
  • Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
  • Collect payment for drinks
  • Maintain accurate liquor, wine and beer cost
  • Ensure all products sold are entered correctly in the P.O.S. system
  • Order or requisition liquors and supplies for each day’s business by completing the Commissary Order Sheet
  • Pick up and return the bar area folder to the Food & Beverage Office daily
  • Set up bar in accordance with company procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar and surrounding areas
  • Wipe bar area down daily
  • Pour approximately 1/2 cup of ammonia down all drains daily
  • Wash all glassware daily
  • Place clean glassware in the appropriate glass storage area
  • Take accurate inventory of all products at opening and closing of each shift
  • Complete inventory control paperwork
  • Follow cash handling policies and procedures
  • Assist customers in a professional manner
  • Assist in other areas as needed or when directed by management
  • Contribute to a friendly and productive work environment
  • Know and understand the proper operation of all job-related equipment
  • Observe all related safety procedures when handling equipment, liquids, dishes, etc.
  • Use proper protective equipment as directed at all times
  • Use the proper lifting techniques when handling trays, dishes, and similar items
  • Attend all departmental and company-mandated meetings as required
  • Immediately report all workplace injuries to the Concessions Floor Supervisor
  • Report any unsafe acts, conditions, or equipment
  • Know all appropriate first aid kit locations and eyewash stations
  • Know the location of fire-fighting equipment and fire exits
  • Maintain a clean uniform at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned
