Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in beverage service or hospitality preferred
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • strong customer service skills
  • valid Food Handler Card
  • basic knowledge of liquor laws
  • reliable and punctual
  • ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • good communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations
  • current Food Handler Card
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
  • basic mathematical skills for cash handling
  • basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers
  • manual dexterity for drink preparation and stock handling
  • basic English language proficiency for customer communication
  • ability to apply written product labeling instructions
  • ability to remember and promote menu items
  • ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee makers

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • promote and document orders for drinks
  • mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and portion control
  • maintain proper and adequate bar set-up daily including requisitioning and stocking supplies
  • maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes and produce
  • receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record transactions, and balance money
  • lock up and store beverages, food, and equipment, handle cash deposits and secure bank
  • answer bar phone courteously and take room service orders
  • input orders into register and create checks for guests and personnel
  • perform general cleaning tasks using hotel cleaning products
  • adhere to company policies and safety procedures
  • know fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • utilize protective equipment
  • report unsafe conditions and accidents to supervisor
  • maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • perform related duties as requested
  • assist other beverage personnel as needed
