Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
ability to work flexible hours including weekends
previous experience in a customer-facing role preferred
ability to operate POS and coffee-making equipment
excellent communication skills
ability to stand for extended periods
ability to lift up to 50 pounds
willingness to work in a fast-paced environment

knowledge of coffee preparation and equipment operation preferred

Job Duties

Accurately take and confirm guest food and beverage orders (including special instructions and/or restrictions)
prepare and serve coffee, espresso, other beverages (including component ingredients) and serve to guests
process payments and balance all sales/receipts in compliance with restaurant policies and procedures, including reconciling and maintaining the security of the cash drawer
accurately, promptly, efficiently and safely assemble and transport food and beverage orders to indoor and outdoor guests (including guests in vehicles in locations offering drive-thru service)
sell and accurately account for gift cards
available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
safely and effectively move chairs, tables, highchairs and booster seats
safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment, including knives, coffee makers, grinders and a cappuccino/espresso machine
ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels
able to move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces
