Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service or food service preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
- Basic proficiency in English for communication
- Ability to operate coffee making equipment and other kitchen tools safely
- Adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally
Job Qualifications
- Ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
- Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
- Ability to work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces
- Basic math skills for processing payments and balancing sales
- Experience with point of sale (POS) systems preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
Job Duties
- Accurately take and confirm guest food and beverage orders including special instructions and/or restrictions
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, other beverages including component ingredients and serve to guests
- Process payments and balance all sales/receipts in compliance with restaurant policies and procedures including reconciling and maintaining the security of the cash drawer
- Accurately, promptly, efficiently and safely assemble and transport food and beverage orders to indoor and outdoor guests including guests in vehicles in locations offering drive-thru service
- Sell and accurately account for gift cards
- Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts including weekends
- Safely and effectively move chairs, tables, highchairs and booster seats
- Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment, including knives, coffee makers, grinders and a cappuccino/espresso machine
- Ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
- Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
- Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels
- Able to move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces
