Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- Basic math skills for payment processing
- Ability to operate coffee and kitchen equipment safely
Job Qualifications
- Customer service experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good physical stamina
- Attention to detail in order processing and presentation
Job Duties
- Accurately take and confirm guest food and beverage orders including special instructions and or restrictions
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, other beverages including component ingredients and serve to guests
- Process payments and balance all sales receipts in compliance with restaurant policies and procedures, including reconciling and maintaining the security of the cash drawer
- Accurately, promptly, efficiently and safely assemble and transport food and beverage orders to indoor and outdoor guests including guests in vehicles in locations offering drive-thru service
- Sell and accurately account for gift cards
- Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
- Safely and effectively move chairs, tables, highchairs and booster seats
- Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment, including knives, coffee makers, grinders and a cappuccino espresso machine
- Ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
- Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
- Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels
- Able to move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and or lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces
