Job Requirements
- Arrives in proper uniform and adheres to all grooming standards
- Sets up station according to cafe guidelines
- Prepares all beverages as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- Follows portion control and presentation specifications
- Restocks all items as needed throughout shift
- Cleans and maintains station with good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills
- Knowledge to properly use and maintain all station equipment
- Acts as front line customer service representative by smiling, greeting customers, and ringing orders quickly
- Demonstrates hospitality, respect, and kindness toward customers and team members
- Merchandises products, checks for quality, and ensures presentation
- Provides fast, accurate service by communicating and organizing tasks
- Suggestive sells and informs customers of products, promotions, and services
- Follows all cash handling procedures
- Assists in financial accountability by correctly recording orders, making change, and counting drawer
- Thanks customers and invites them to return
- Acts as a role model and helps train new barista/cashiers
- Works cooperatively with others to support operations and standards
- Demonstrates adaptability to change
- Shows excellent communication and listening skills
- Exhibits passion for hospitality and coffee
- Willingness to assist in other tasks when required
- Prior barista, cashier, or customer service experience preferred but not required

Job Duties
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages including coffee, espresso, tea, and smoothies in a timely, sanitary, and consistent manner
- Educate guests on the drink menu, make recommendations based on preferences, up-sell special items, and take orders
- Process cash, debit, and credit card transactions accurately using a point-of-sale system
- Balance cash drawers, make change, and enter purchases
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the station while practicing safety and sanitation guidelines
- Provide fast, hospitable customer service by greeting customers, ringing orders efficiently, and creating positive impressions
- Assist in financial accountability and provide on-the-job training for new team members
