Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year customer service experience
- safe server alcohol and food handlers certification
- California RBS certification
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift up to 45 lbs
- ability to work in varying temperatures
- good communication skills
- ability to maintain grooming standards
- ability to operate POS systems
- ability to maintain a safe work environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one to three years food service experience preferred
- one year customer service experience required
- safe server alcohol and food handlers certification required
- California RBS certification required
- basic computer skills
- basic computational ability
- good communication skills both verbal and written
- excellent customer relations skills
- detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS systems
- strong issue resolution and analytical skills
- knowledge of drink preparation and health standards
- self-driven and able to work independently
Job Duties
- Take customer orders
- describe menu items and suggest products to customers
- provide information about products and look for up-sell opportunities
- prepare and serve hot and cold drinks including coffee, tea, artisan, and specialty beverages along with pastries and cookies
- prepare all drinks and food items following outlet and company standards
- educate and inform customers about coffee beans, preparation and brewing methods
- ensure equipment is clean and in working order, report maintenance needs
- maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following sanitation regulations
- clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment
- clean tables, floors, and other service areas
- ensure coffee supplies are stocked
- operate cash register/POS system and handle payment
- follow company operational policies including safety and security
- maintain a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events
- handle food and equipment properly
- perform other duties assigned by managers and supervisors
