Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year customer service experience required
- Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification
- ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to four hours
- ability to work in extreme temperatures
- ability to lift up to 45 lbs
- ability to push and pull carts weighing up to 250 lbs
- good communication skills
- basic computer skills
- attention to detail
- adherence to grooming and uniform standards
- regular attendance and punctuality
- compliance with hotel policies and rules
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one to three years food service experience preferred
- one year customer service experience required
- Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification required
- excellent customer relations skills
- basic computer skills including Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS systems
- good verbal and written communication skills
- detail oriented with strong organizational abilities
- ability to work independently
- strong knowledge of drink preparation and applicable health standards
Job Duties
- Take customer orders
- describe menu items and suggest products
- provide information about products and look for up-sell opportunities
- prepare and serve hot and cold drinks including coffee, tea, artisan and specialty beverages, along with pastries and cookies
- prepare all drinks and food items following company standards
- educate and inform customers about coffee beans and brewing methods
- ensure equipment is clean and in working order
- report maintenance or repair needs
- maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following sanitation regulations
- clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment
- clean tables, floors, and other service areas
- ensure coffee supplies are stocked
- operate cash register and POS system
- follow operational policies for safety and security
- maintain a calm demeanor during high volume periods
- handle food and equipment properly
- perform other duties assigned by managers and supervisors
