Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one year customer service experience
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification
  • California RBS certification
  • ability to work in varied temperature conditions
  • ability to stand for up to four hours
  • ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • ability to push and pull equipment weighing up to 250 lbs
  • ability to perform repetitive motions and physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and stretching
  • must maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • regular attendance and punctuality
  • comply with company rules and training
  • able to communicate effectively in the workplace's primary language

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one year customer service experience
  • one to three years of food service experience preferred
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification
  • California RBS certification
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • excellent customer relations skills
  • detail oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
  • basic computer skills
  • basic computational ability
  • ability to handle customer conflicts with patience, tact, and diplomacy
  • knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS systems

  • knowledge of drink preparation and health standards

Job Duties

  • Take customer orders
  • describe menu items and suggest products to customers
  • provide information about products and look for up-sell opportunities
  • prepare and serve hot and cold drinks including coffee, tea, artisan, and specialty beverages
  • prepare all drinks and food items following company standards
  • educate customers about coffee beans and brewing methods
  • ensure equipment cleanliness and maintenance reporting
  • maintain safe and healthy work environment
  • clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment
  • clean tables, floors, and service areas
  • ensure coffee supplies are stocked
  • operate cash register/POS system and handle payments accurately
  • follow company safety and security policies
  • maintain calm demeanor during high volume
  • properly handle food and equipment
  • perform other duties as assigned
