Job Requirements
- Good knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
- knowledge of appropriate service ware and menu items
- ability to read, write and speak English to understand menus and communicate
- ability to remember and promote menu items
- ability to operate point of sale system
- prior hospitality experience preferred
- ability to obtain any Club required certifications
- flexible availability to work varying schedules
- adherence to Club attendance and conduct policies

- Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- prior hospitality experience, specifically barista/cafe experience preferred
- ability to obtain any Club required certification or licenses
- knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
- ability to operate a point of sale system accurately
- ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to understand menus, record orders, and communicate effectively
Job Duties
- Understands and implements the Madison Cafes statement of purpose and service guarantees
- understands and adheres to the Club attendance policy
- completes thorough detailing of the Cafe and all side duties before shifts begin
- greets guests promptly with correct time of day greeting and smile
- verbally receives and calls back customer orders
- delivers food and beverage orders following service timing guidelines
- uses members' names during interactions
- conducts oneself as a lady/gentleman with members, guests, and co-workers
- properly times service to conform to guests' needs
- serves members in a friendly and courteous manner
- has a clear understanding of Club rules and reports infractions professionally
- completes accurate closing paperwork with proper authorization
- educates customers on products and services
- maintains highest quality and consistent product standards
- follows all drink recipes and procedures
- develops understanding of coffee and tea types and blends
- answers telephone courteously
- performs additional sidework and cleaning tasks
- reports customer feedback, safety hazards, employee incidents, and operational inconsistencies to management
- performs all assigned sidework including restocking and cleaning
- assists in training new employees
