Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a food service institutional setting
- Ability to obtain TIPS or other bar management certifications
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Good communication skills
- Ability to maintain hygiene and grooming standards
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Ability to handle physical demands including standing for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or successful completion of GED
- Experience in a food service institutional setting
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Communicates effectively and tactfully
- Ability to display a sense of caring, concern, compassion and dignity for residents
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with residents, families, visitors, and employees
- Well organized and attentive to detail
- Ability to manage time productively
- Ability to interact with residents, visitors, and employees
Job Duties
- Prepare beverages and garnishes for bistro/bar
- Set up dining room tables
- Take tableside food orders and deliver to residents in an organized, timely and courteous manner. When appropriate, offer available options to exceed resident expectations
- Ensure that all bistro/bar areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner and in compliance with established infection control procedures. Including proper work attire and following proper grooming and hygiene principles
- Deliver food carts to designated places and ensure carts are returned to kitchen
- Collect and remove trash and garbage to designated containers
- Clean work areas, dining room and bar/bistro, equipment
- Wash bar glasses using approved procedures
- Assumes all other position related responsibilities as assigned
