- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Must be able to verify age and responsibly serve alcoholic beverages
- Completion of Responsible Beverage Service training and Food Handler certification
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Basic math skills for cash handling
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a barista or bartender preferred
- Knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
- Responsible Beverage Service training preferred
- Food Handler certification preferred
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times while providing personalized service to guests
- Contribute to a positive team environment
- Act with integrity, honesty, and promote the culture, values, and mission of the hotel
- Communicate effectively and engage with guests and fellow team members
- Accurately take guest orders, make recommendations, and leverage selling skills
- Serve as a coffee expert providing knowledge of menu items and preparation methods
- Responsibly serve alcoholic beverages verifying identification and age of customers
- Complete and maintain required training such as Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handler Cards
- Prepare, stock, and serve food and beverages following safety procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bar tables, chairs, stools, counters, and equipment
- Process all cash and charge transactions according to house procedures
- Close checks and run reports at end of shift
- Assist Food and Beverage Manager with stocking beverages, mixes, and food items
- Attend required brand training and coffee promotion sessions
- Follow operational policies including cash handling, safety, and security
- Report missing/found articles or property damage
- Provide assistance to other team members and departments
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
