Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a customer service or barista role preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Food and Alcohol Service certification required or willingness to obtain
- Ability to follow health and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- Previous barista or coffee service experience preferred
- Knowledge of espresso equipment and coffee preparation methods preferred
- Strong communication and guest service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced cafe environment
- Food and Alcohol Service certifications required or ability to obtain
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty beverages according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and presentation of all beverages
- Demonstrate knowledge of coffee preparation methods, espresso extraction, and milk steaming
- Maintain quality standards for taste, temperature, and appearance
- Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive service
- Assist guests with menu selections and beverage recommendations
- Maintain awareness of guest needs and respond promptly to requests
- Contribute to a relaxed and welcoming cafe atmosphere
- Operate point of sale systems accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, equipment, and service areas
- Follow opening and closing procedures and complete side work duties
- Restock supplies and communicate inventory needs to leadership
- Work collaboratively with cafe team members and leadership
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude
- Demonstrate reliability, efficiency, and attention to detail
- Accept coaching and feedback to support continuous improvement
- Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and food handling standards
- Adhere to company policies and brand standards
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by Senior leadership
- Maintain availability for mornings, weekends, and holidays
