Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience as a barista or in customer service preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- proficiency with technology including registers and tablets
- aptitude for learning food and beverage preparation
- knowledge of merchandising and visual presentation
- teamwork and collaboration skills
- positive attitude and customer-focused mindset
Job Duties
- Welcome customers in a cheerful and helpful way
- answer customer questions and recommend beverages and cafe items
- maintain attractive presentation and cleanliness of the cafe
- operate registers efficiently and professionally
- unpack and stock deliveries accurately
- tidy bakery case and dining areas
- support bookfloor team when needed
- follow loss prevention procedures and de-escalation techniques
- ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines
- assist with FIFO product rotation and dating
