Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one year customer service experience
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification
  • ability to maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • willingness to work varying schedules
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • ability to push and pull carts up to 250 lbs
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • adherence to company grooming and attendance standards
  • compliance with safety and security policies
  • ability to work independently and in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one year customer service experience required
  • one to three years food service experience preferred
  • prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification required
  • good communication skills verbal and written
  • excellent customer relations skills
  • detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills
  • basic computer skills
  • basic computational ability
  • ability to deal with internal and external customers with patience, tact and diplomacy
  • knowledgeable about Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS

  • strong analytical and issue resolution skills
  • strong knowledge of drink preparation and health standards

Job Duties

  • Take customer orders
  • describe menu items and suggest products to customers
  • provide information about products and look for up-sell opportunities
  • prepare and serve hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, artisan, and specialty beverages along with pastries and cookies
  • prepare all drinks and food items following outlet and company standards
  • educate and inform customers about coffee beans, preparation and home brewing methods
  • supervise other team members to ensure F&B outlet standards and procedures are being followed
  • assist training new hires and provide ongoing training to current employees
  • participate in department inventories
  • monitor quality of service and product
  • cooperate in menu planning and preparation
  • conduct orders of food and beverage supplies
  • stay up to date on brand requirements and outlet changes
  • ensure attendance at all mandatory meetings
  • lead and coach the team towards exceptional guest service and staff satisfaction
  • maintain high energy, positive attitude, and professional appearance
  • ensure equipment is clean and in working order and report maintenance needs
  • maintain a safe and healthy work environment following sanitation regulations
  • clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment
  • clean tables, floors, and service areas
  • ensure coffee supplies are stocked
  • operate cash register/POS system and handle payments accurately
  • follow operational policies including safety and security
  • maintain calm demeanor during high volume periods
  • responsible for proper handling of food and equipment
  • perform other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
