Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year customer service experience
- Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification
- ability to maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- willingness to work varying schedules
- ability to stand for long periods
- ability to lift up to 45 lbs
- ability to push and pull carts up to 250 lbs
- ability to communicate effectively
- adherence to company grooming and attendance standards
- compliance with safety and security policies
- ability to work independently and in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year customer service experience required
- one to three years food service experience preferred
- prior supervisory experience preferred
- Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification required
- good communication skills verbal and written
- excellent customer relations skills
- detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills
- basic computer skills
- basic computational ability
- ability to deal with internal and external customers with patience, tact and diplomacy
- knowledgeable about Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS
- self-driven and able to work independently
- strong analytical and issue resolution skills
- strong knowledge of drink preparation and health standards
Job Duties
- Take customer orders
- describe menu items and suggest products to customers
- provide information about products and look for up-sell opportunities
- prepare and serve hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, artisan, and specialty beverages along with pastries and cookies
- prepare all drinks and food items following outlet and company standards
- educate and inform customers about coffee beans, preparation and home brewing methods
- supervise other team members to ensure F&B outlet standards and procedures are being followed
- assist training new hires and provide ongoing training to current employees
- participate in department inventories
- monitor quality of service and product
- cooperate in menu planning and preparation
- conduct orders of food and beverage supplies
- stay up to date on brand requirements and outlet changes
- ensure attendance at all mandatory meetings
- lead and coach the team towards exceptional guest service and staff satisfaction
- maintain high energy, positive attitude, and professional appearance
- ensure equipment is clean and in working order and report maintenance needs
- maintain a safe and healthy work environment following sanitation regulations
- clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment
- clean tables, floors, and service areas
- ensure coffee supplies are stocked
- operate cash register/POS system and handle payments accurately
- follow operational policies including safety and security
- maintain calm demeanor during high volume periods
- responsible for proper handling of food and equipment
- perform other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
