Job Requirements
- Possess the interest and ability to become Barista certified by passing all required training and certifications within 90 days of start date
- Be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing operational needs
- Have a friendly, energetic, and personable demeanor
- Commitment to Peet's values of curiosity, accountability, mastery, and inclusion
- Ability to carry out physical tasks required by the role
- Pass a background check as required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in customer service or food and beverage industry is an asset
- Strong interest in learning about coffee and tea
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to perform various physical tasks during shifts
Job Duties
- Welcome and engage customers throughout their store experience
- Determine customer needs by asking questions and sharing product knowledge
- Serve customers with a sense of urgency demonstrating that customers come first
- Prepare drinks and brew coffee and tea with consistent quality
- Participate in training to learn new and promotional products
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked store
- Embrace and incorporate feedback to improve personal performance
