Job Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED
- Six months of previous food service experience
- Available to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Ability to maintain high levels of sanitation adhering to health codes and hospital regulations
- Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Starbucks Barista Trainer Certification within 6 months of hire
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months of previous food service experience required
- Six months of Barista experience preferred
- Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Starbucks
- Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events
- Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues
- Customer service skills with ability to exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments, greet visitors, explain hospital policies, and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel
- Requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors and/or hospital employees
Job Duties
- Provide beverages, whole beans, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards
- Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
- Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and product as needed
- Communicate information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create the Third Place environment during each shift
- Deliver quality customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer
- Follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift
