Job Requirements
- Must be able to work flexible days and hours, including weekends and holidays
- physical ability to unpack products and sort them including bend and lift up to 35 pounds
- perform repetitive motion with hands and wrists
- stand for extended periods of time and move about the restaurant during shifts
- availability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays during restaurant hours
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous work experience as a barista
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence
- ability to write simple correspondence
- ability to effectively present one-on-one and small group situations to customers and staff
- ability to calculate figures and apply basic algebra concepts
- ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and solve problems
- interpersonal skills to address customer personalities in various situations
Job Duties
- Welcome all guests in our restaurant with a warm and inviting demeanor
- work closely with other baristas and Social Misfits staff to make all menu items as instructed
- provide efficient and personal service to each and every customer
- create unique relationships with guests by learning their names and favorite orders
- stay informed on products and share knowledge with coworkers and guests
- maintain the highest degree of quality and consistency in product standards
- collect and process cash/charges using our POS system
- communicate with team members and management to solve problems
- participate in maintaining a positive work environment
- use all supplies and equipment in safe, efficient and responsible manner
- punch in and report to the Manager/Supervisor on Duty on time for every shift
- obtain manager's or supervisor's approval prior to punching out
- perform all other related duties as assigned
