Job Requirements

High school or equivalent education
one year customer service experience
safe server alcohol and food handlers certification required
ability to work in moderate to extreme temperatures
ability to stand and move for up to four hours
ability to lift up to 45 lbs
ability to push and pull carts up to 250 lbs
ability to perform repetitive motions and physical tasks such as bending, stooping, squatting, and stretching
good communication skills
basic computer competency
strong customer service skills
adherence to grooming and attendance standards
willingness to comply with company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

High school or equivalent education
one year customer service experience
one to three years food service experience preferred
safe server alcohol and food handlers certification
excellent customer relations skills
strong communication skills, verbal and written
detail oriented with outstanding organizational skills
basic computer skills
basic computational ability
ability to handle internal and external customers with patience, tact, and diplomacy
knowledgeable about Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS
self-driven and able to work independently
strong analytical and issue resolution skills
strong knowledge of drink preparation and health standards

Job Duties

Take customer orders
describe menu items and suggest products to customers
provide information about products and look for up-sell opportunities
prepare and serve hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, artisan, and specialty beverages, along with pastries and cookies
prepare all drinks and food items following the outlet and company standards
educate and inform customers about the differences among coffee beans, coffee preparation and home brewing methods
ensure equipment is clean and in working order and report any maintenance or repair needs
maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment
clean tables, floors, and other service areas
ensure that coffee supplies are always stocked
operate a cash register/POS system and receive payment from customers in cash or credit card, accurately count and provide change
follow company operational policies and procedures, including safety and security
maintain a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events
responsible for proper handling of all food and equipment
perform all other duties assigned by managers and supervisors
