Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit is required before hiring
  • Punctuality and reliability are critical
  • Ability to work proactively to ensure the best possible guest experience
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, weekdays, and holidays
  • Ability to work effectively in an environment where the pace may vary
  • Ability to stand for eight or more hours per day, sit, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, push and pull items weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures
  • Ability to write neatly in English

Job Duties

  • Greeting customers in a friendly manner and taking food and drink orders
  • Preparing and serving beverages ranging from simple to elaborate ones
  • Preparing and serving food items such as soups, sandwiches, and pastries
  • Answering customers' questions about menu choices
  • Promoting and recommending menu options to customers
  • Taking payment from customers
  • Maintaining inventory and equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting, and scheduling repairs
  • Keeping the work environment sanitary and organized
  • Evaluating and modifying processes to improve efficiency and quality of service
  • Working to attract new customers and expanding the menu
  • Cleaning dining areas and tables
  • Adhering to sanitation and safety policies
  • Adhering to alcoholic beverage control policies and maintaining a valid New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit
  • Other job duties as assigned
