Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit is required before hiring
- Punctuality and reliability are critical
- Ability to work proactively to ensure the best possible guest experience
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, weekdays, and holidays required
- Ability to work effectively in an environment where the pace may vary
- Ability to stand for eight or more hours per day, sit, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, push and pull items weighing up to 40 pounds
- Manual dexterity
- auditory and visual skills
- ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures
- ability to write neatly in English
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in food or beverage service preferred
- Knowledge of coffee and beverage preparation techniques
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Familiarity with health and safety standards
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Valid New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit
Job Duties
- Greeting customers in a friendly manner and taking food and drink orders
- Preparing and serving beverages, ranging from simple to elaborate ones
- Preparing and serving food items such as soups, sandwiches, and pastries
- Answering customers' questions about menu choices
- Promoting and recommending menu options to customers
- Taking payment from customers
- Maintaining inventory and equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting, and scheduling repairs
- Keeping the work environment sanitary and organized
- Evaluating and modifying processes to improve efficiency and quality of service
- Working to attract new customers and expanding the menu
- Cleans dining room, spaces, and tables, e.g. vacuums, wipes, washes, dust, etc.
- Adheres to sanitation and safety policies
- Adheres to alcoholic beverage control policies and regulations, maintains a valid New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit and stores it on person, in purse, or in locker when working
- Other job duties assigned
