Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in the service, culinary, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred
- Ability to perform physical activities such as bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, crawling, pushing/pulling, climbing stairs, and standing for extended periods
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Availability to work flexible schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Capability to consistently carry up to 35 pounds
- Ability to memorize complex menus and beverage/food builds
- Certification in health code compliance per jurisdiction
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Willingness to support operational and safety standards
- Basic math and cash handling skills
Job Qualifications
- Experience in service, culinary, restaurant, or entertainment industry
- Ability to bend, twist, squat, reach, crawl, push/pull, climb stairs, and stand for long periods
- Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English
- Availability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to carry 35 pounds consistently
- Ability to memorize complex menus, ingredients, beverage and food builds
- Health code certification as required
- 1-2 years of specialty retail sales experience beneficial
- Facilitation and presentation skills beneficial
- Baking or culinary certification/degree beneficial
- Pizza making and additional baking experience beneficial
- Basic culinary knife skills beneficial
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships quickly
- Ability to work in multiple store departments and perform various tasks
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions
- High attention to detail with multitasking and prioritizing skills
- Additional languages beneficial
- Ability to learn quickly
Job Duties

- Provide a unique coffee and food-forward experience for every customer, including keeping up with production demand
- Serve as a coffee and food expert, offering exceptional product knowledge
- Demonstrate composure and maintain a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual situations
- Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently following recipe and presentation standards
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Contribute to a positive team environment
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
- Anticipate customer and store needs by evaluating the environment and observing cues
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all customers
- Support store events model and execution
- Take responsibility for the full-service model in applicable locations
- Maintain knowledge of rotating food, beverage, whole bean, and retail items
- Engage customers with recommendations, pairings, and equipment demonstrations
- Follow Starbucks operational policies, including cash handling and safety protocols
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Operate in a fast-paced innovation environment
- Support inventory management and deliveries
- Utilize production planning tools
- Prepare, finish, and assemble beverage and food items using necessary equipment
- Stock and maintain display tables and cases
- Proof various doughs and laminates
