Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous customer service experience beneficial
- Ability to learn and master barista operational competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using technology such as registers and tablets
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good physical stamina for prolonged standing and lifting
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Job Duties
- Welcome customers in a cheerful and helpful way
- Answer questions and connect readers with the right beverages and cafe items
- Maintain attractive presentation and cleanliness of Cafe
- Unpack and stock deliveries
- Tidy bakery case and dining area
- Operate registers quickly and friendly
- Execute daily and weekly cleaning tasks
- Make food and drinks with ease and accuracy
- Follow First In First Out (FIFO) practices
- Support bookfloor team when needed
- Understand loss prevention and de-escalation procedures
- Use technology including registers, computers, and tablets proficiently
- Develop merchandising and visual merchandising skills
- Maintain cafe safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
- Support success of key products and promotions
