Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Prior barista or food service experience preferred, but not required (training provided)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Friendly, positive attitude with a customer-first mindset
  • Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve coffee and tea beverages e.g. espresso, lattes, cappuccinos in accordance with company recipes and quality standards
  • Prepare sandwiches and other food items
  • Stock and organize retail items
  • Greet customers, take orders, and handle cash or card transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, equipment, and seating area
  • Restock supplies e.g. coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups as needed
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines at all times
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer needs and complaints in a professional manner
  • Educate customers on the menu, making recommendations based on their preferences
  • Work as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Open and/or close the café according to company procedures, if assigned
  • Prep and cook food items
