Job Qualifications
- Prior barista or food service experience preferred, but not required (training provided)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly, positive attitude with a customer-first mindset
- Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve coffee and tea beverages e.g. espresso, lattes, cappuccinos in accordance with company recipes and quality standards
- Prepare sandwiches and other food items
- Stock and organize retail items
- Greet customers, take orders, and handle cash or card transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, equipment, and seating area
- Restock supplies e.g. coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups as needed
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer needs and complaints in a professional manner
- Educate customers on the menu, making recommendations based on their preferences
- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations
- Open and/or close the café according to company procedures, if assigned
- Prep and cook food items
