Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a barista in a high-volume, fast paced coffee shop or cafe setting
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Early morning availability between 4:00am - 7:00am
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to handle cash and point-of-sale transactions
  • Must adhere to health and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a barista in a high-volume, fast paced coffee shop or cafe setting
  • Strong customer service skills with a demonstrated history of effective teamwork
  • Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Demonstrate qualities of hospitality, integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership, and urgency
  • Exhibit attributes such as quality, productivity, dependability, customer focus, and adaptability

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
  • Brew, sell, promote and prepare beverages according to established recipes and standards
  • Take guest beverage orders and accurately input orders in appropriate point-of-sale system
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area/outlet
  • Accurately total, process and collect payments from guests including using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, making change and processing gift certificates and cards
  • Requisition, stock and rotate products
  • Secure and store all beverages, food and other equipment items
  • Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards
