Job Requirements

1+ years previous barista or food service experience required
high school degree or equivalent
ability to stand for two or more hours at any time
ability to safely operate coffee equipment
previous coffee shop or café environment experience preferred
detail-oriented in performing accurate transactions
self-motivated and able to multitask with minimal supervision
proactive in meeting customer needs
effective work methods and meets commitments
effective communication skills
computer literacy desired
willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, and bend

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Prepares quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently by adhering to recipe and presentation standards
follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
acts with integrity and knowledge to promote the culture and mission of Follett Starbucks Cafe
maintains a calm demeanor during high volume periods to keep the store operating to standard
anticipates customer and store needs by evaluating environment and customers
communicates information to manager to enable team response for quality customer environment
maintains regular and punctual attendance
follows Starbucks operational policies and procedures including safety and security
delivers legendary customer service by building relationships and acting with a customer-first attitude
discovers and responds to customer needs timely
stocks products and organizes books and merchandise
lifts and carries boxes, books, and other merchandise
