Job Requirements

  • Must have a valid Food Handler's card preferred
  • ability to work Monday through Friday from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm
  • availability to work part-time schedule
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in food service or hospitality preferred
  • good communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • basic math skills for handling transactions
  • knowledge of coffee and espresso beverages is a plus
  • customer service orientation
  • ability to follow food safety regulations
  • teamwork and collaboration skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
  • enter orders accurately into POS device
  • accept cash and charge payments
  • replenish condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
  • ensure proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
  • ensure proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
  • keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
  • clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments
  • greet customers courteously and interact in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction
  • relay relevant concerns from customers to supervisors
  • serve customers quickly and efficiently to prevent delays in serving lines
  • demonstrate a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explain them to customers
  • serve as an advocate of selling techniques to the customer by establishing good communication and assisting in the buying decision-making process
  • ensure all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards
  • serve food neatly and attractively per standard
  • perform other duties as assigned
