Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous customer service experience preferred
- ability to stand for extended periods
- availability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, and weekends
- basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- good communication skills
- ability to follow food safety guidelines
- willingness to undergo training
- legal authorization to work in the United States
- ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- ability to communicate courteously with customers
- knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards is beneficial
- ability to handle cash and use POS systems accurately
- basic understanding of coffee preparation methods
- capability to maintain cleanliness and organization in foodservice areas
- willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures
- ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Job Duties
- Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
- enters orders accurately into POS device
- accepts cash and charge payments
- replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
- ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
- follows HACCP standards
- maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
- ensures proper food preparation using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
- keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
- cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
- greets customers courteously and interacts to ensure customer satisfaction
- relays relevant concerns from customers to supervisors
- serves customers quickly and efficiently
- prevents delays in serving lines
- demonstrates understanding of daily menu items and explains them accurately
- advocates selling techniques to customers by establishing communication and assisting in buying decisions
- ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively and serves food neatly
- performs other duties as assigned
