Job Requirements
- Ability to stand for up to two or more hours continuously
- Ability to safely operate coffee equipment
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, and bend
- Previous coffee shop or café experience preferred
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Ability to lift and carry boxes, books, and merchandise
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment
- Punctual and reliable attendance
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and effectively
Job Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent
- 1+ years previous Barista or food service experience
- Experience working in a coffee shop or café environment preferred
- Detail-oriented in performing accurate transactions
- Self-motivated with ability to multitask with minimal supervision
- Effective communication skills that are clear, concise and positive
- Basic computer literacy desirable
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours
Job Duties
- Prepares quality beverages and food products according to recipe and presentation standards
- Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products
- Provides exceptional customer service by greeting customers and building relationships
- Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment including shelves and stock areas
- Responds to customer concerns and requests promptly and professionally
- Communicates effectively with the management team regarding store needs and customer feedback
- Stocks and organizes merchandise, including books and food items
- Safely operates coffee equipment and lifts merchandise as necessary
